I am Jeremy's mom!

I love my "myms" !!! ( pronounced mee-ms - jeremy'ms )

He is my happiness and my challenge. He is full of life, independent and is so smart! He just celebrated his 10th birthday and it is amazing for me to take a second and see just how fast he is growing up. Soon he will be taller than me ;-)

He just received he Bear Award in Cub Scouts and now he is starting 5th grade. I have enjoyed going over to the school and being involved with him and his friends. But, I have been known NOT as Jennifer, but as "Jeremy's Mom" and I am proud of that title!

Ward Campout

Of course we are trying to cram a couple more fun activities in before school starts. This last weekend we went on the ward campout up at Little Deer Creek (up American Fork Canyon). We arrived Friday night in time for dinner and some fun games around the campfire and stayed until around 2:00 the next day.

During the day it was beautiful and we had so much fun with the other families that were there! During the night, however, we all struggled to stay warm. We had Jeremy & Hailey sleep in the car and Jared, Brady & I slept in the tent.

I didn't know where Jeremy and his friends were half the time, but he is getting old enough that it's hard to keep him on a leash (darn!) Hailey loved writing on wood with charred sticks & Brady kept busy creating his own adventures around camp.

It was really really dirty, but considering how much fun we had, we may do this more often!

Lagoon!

We went to Lagoon on Monday and had a great time. The weather was cool. It wasn't crowded. What more could you ask for? I must admit that it was a very different experience going as an adult with kids than just a short time ago going as a carefree teenager ;-)

I think we rode Colossus at least 10 times. Hailey was finally tall enough this year, to ride all of the roller coasters (and loved every one). Her first ride on Colossus was in the very front seat! Jeremy was right there with her on every ride. We had a great time trying out the new rides and thought "Wicked" was awesome! Brady loved the rides in the "Kiddieland." Of course we had to visit the dental office in Pioneer Village. You can't go to Lagoon without going on the Terror Ride! We ended the experience by letting the kids run through the fountain. Don't worry - I brought pajamas to change into!

Family Vacation

Last weekend we joined our extended family for a reunion at Bear Lake. It was great weather and we had fun time enjoying each other's company. Here are some highlights.

First of all, the whole family worked really hard to put together some projects for Grandma and Grandpa. Grandpa was presented with a book with everyone's picture and a paragraph about what we have learned from him. Grandma was presented with a video of the same - just different format. Then together they were presented with a collage of all the grandchildren in birth order.

Just a side note... as we were getting our picture taken with the "W" - Jeremy had a different idea - Very funny Jeremy ;-P'''

The fun part of this whole project is that I was able to work with Nick and our friend Pam to make sure that he was a part of all the projects. Way to go Nick!!! Thank you Pam!!!

We spent some time on the beach and in the boats to enjoy sun, water & sand.

Brady and I had a great time on the boat. Hailey couldn't get enough of the water. Brady is definitely my sand baby!

On Sunday, we spend time in Paris, Idaho where Grandpa Barfuss grew up. We visited the Paris Cemetery where we stood at the grave site of his parents, my great-grandparents.
