Nick is home!!!

We are so excited to have Nick home from the Zurich Switzerland Mission. We had so much fun preparing for his arrival. We prepared posters and had balloons ready for him as he entered the baggage claim area. I must admit that I haven't been this excited for something for a very long time! The anticipation was killing me. I even was getting mad at how many red lights we hit just to get to the freeway. I thought we would never get to the airport.

But sure enough, true to missionary form, he made us wait and wait and wait. With every dark suit that started to come down the escalator there was a deep breath to start cheering. Finally, it was him and we cheered, whistled and clapped to welcome him home!

We all took turns giving him a hug and reintroducing the younger nieces and nephews (3 of them for the first time). It was so much fun. We are so glad to have him home. Our family is together again!

WELCOME HOME NICK!!!

WE LOVE YOU!!!

Welcome home Nick!

Nick will be coming home this Friday the 6th due to some medical issues. At this time it is not serious. However, there is enough concern and the fact that he is only 1 transfer away from his original release date, that his mission president decided to send him home a little early having served an honorable full mission.

We are so excited to have him home and we are in the midst of a whirlwind of preparations.

I will be hosting an open house for Nick on Sunday the 8th from 5:00 - 7:00 pm if you would like to come and welcome him home. Please feel free to pass this information on to anyone he might know.

Thanks for all your support for Nick!

How would you respond?

It has been a couple of days now, but I have chosen to blog about it now because of two reasons. 1) I found a minute to sit down and blog 2) I can actually laugh about it now!

My children struggle on school mornings to keep moving at a pace that will get them out the door on time. This results in me standing around like a drill sargent telling every little thing to do next. It drives me crazy.

This particular morning this week I blew up and started yelling at them about how I'm the only one that cares about being on time. Jeremy turns around, looks at me , and says....

"Mom, I didn't sign up for school"

I give up!
